Thanks for shedding the new light on new management. When I see "former" in the bank/S&L context, it's too easy to assume "failed".

I've traded FMT since the initial subprime blowup, initially because I felt their exposure was mitigated by not being all they did, and later because they enjoyed the benefit of bailing out earlier than others. At what may've been good money.

I got cute and flipped FMTFA (Jun5 calls) yesterday for 80 cents with a basis of 50 cents.

In hindsight, they weren't overpriced at 80 cents. I simply got lucky and was able to steal them at 50 cents.

Not particularly optimistic I'll be able to get them back anywhere near my original basis, but will sit on my hands for about a week to see.
