We freed our slaves civilized manner without civil war. By mid 19th century, we had a lot of mulatos who were very well educated. They were the sons of priests and bishops 'on the side' with balck women slaves. Well fed and well educated they fought with the pen, not the sword, for the abolition of slavery. 1st Law of the Sexagenary. Any man reachig sixty years of age was a free man. 2nd. The law of the free womb. Any baby born would be a free person. Then in 1888 total abolition of slavery. No civil war. Only civilization created in the tropics. Totaly new that created a new brand of man.
