This looks like a handy page to watch. If in fact we do begin trying to support the dollar by buying same (with what?) this must ultimately fail... and portends currency crisis or at minimum some very high import prices. Welcome to banana republic... However, looking over the numbers, there is still some buying from Europe and Japan, HK and Caribbean... Caribbean may be branches of US banks though... still positive, even without them. True, China not buying... Canary (big fat muscular dim sum eating one) in coal mine. Arab oil states not buying. Tea leaves and sheep entrails say omens not good. Harbinger of things to come that our presidential candidates (except for Ron Paul) are studiously ignoring... Much wrong with our educational system here, I am afraid. Of course, we can pray on it with Huckaby... that worked for Bush. treas.gov
