Our USA Government and Corporate mentality has sold the American worker down the drain and it continues...

A "Lou Dobbs" convert, it seems. :>)

If you want prosperty for this country and maximum wages for it's laborers, you would advocate unlimited free trade. It's the best way to get it.

The globalization "cat" is out of the bag, C. Businesses must do what they have to do in order to remain competitive. If we try to force them into doing things which would render them less competitive, we'll lose them - either because they'll move abroad in order to survive, or through their failure to compete. Investors - both domestic and foreign - would avoid the US - so, now you would have to start legislating investment.

It would be a disaster. We will be far better off in the end if we allow free markets to work things out. Populist policies attempting to reverse what is happening in the world would be certain to cause far greater problems than the ones they propose to cure.

Chas.... Oh please!!! that is just so much baloney!

Are you saying that Americans don't want the best for as little as they can get away with?

Are you saying the Americans don't want goods?

Are you saying that you don't know that since the mid 1970's that Americas manufacturing base has not been in America?

Are you saying that Labor Unions haven't priced out of reach the products made by American Labor?

If not, WHAT are you saying?

We've already lost millions of jobs to Chinese, Indian, Mexican concerns as well as our Corporation Off Shore re-settlement...

Our USA Government and Corporate mentality has sold the American worker down the drain and it continues...

When America's middle class and lower income groups reach 3rd World status, the Corporations will signal from the Hamptons and Wall Street that all is OK now...
