"Even people who should know better, like Ivy League educated Ten, buy this line of crap."

There is a historical precedent. There was another time when the gap between those at the top and everyone else was growing. And, it was fine with most because they figured it was just a matter of time before it trickled down to them. The economy was growing at a good clip, and productivity was increasing, although wages lagged. And technology was spawning some wonderful gadgets that were highly desired. Since income wasn't increasing much and people were optimistic about the future, they ran up debt with idea in mind that their incomes would be increasing soon.

The time I am talking about was the post-WWI period in the US.

What's really interesting is that Harris isn't one of the top 1% getting the lucre. He's not even one of the top 5%, or 20%. Yet, by demonizing "liberal" policies, Harris has been led to believe that he is actually BETTER OFF when his economic "betters" profit from the economic structure of society MUCH more than he does.

It's like a slave saying his life would be so much worse if not for his enslaved condition!

.....or like the slave or corporate person who gets excited because his master/employer has bought a second plantation/company and will become richer as a result........the slave/employee thinks the new addition and new wealth of his master/employer will make him more important.
