"he would be able to spend a ton of money to attract indys and moderate republicans who you guys are throwing out of the big tent."

Now that is the pot calling the kettle black. The socialists in your party don't like the most socialist candidate because she calculated that she had to vote for Iraq to stand a chance in the general election. The democrat party is controlled by the kook fringe and unions. Are you enjoying watching moron.com yank the chains?

"My belief is that if he runs he will have profound differences with both parties that force him to self fund a race for pres or as a veep on someones indy ticket."

Since he is a life long democrat and holds markedly democrat identified views, his recent claim to be a Republican would not likely win him many Republican votes except possibly in Vermont and such states. His presence in the race could really serve as a democrat spoiler.

"A third party like the liberals or conservatives would run one of the major party candidates as their own to enable folks on the extremes of the two parties to vote for one of them but not the party."

So would he run as a center-left to allow the non kook fringe democrats an option that doesn't make them physically ill?

Given the Republican pool of candidates that all are left of center on some issues it could get crowded there.

Would a Huckaby candidacy suck all of the democrat voters away that loved and supported the unethical behavior of the Clintons? Would a Gulianni take the anti-life vote? Would McCain make find the democrat candidate running to his right?
