In Michigan we (they?) passed what people called the "Dirty Harry law."

In the law, the presumption is that anyone conducting a home invasion is armed. Burden of proof is left up to the other person.

Next .. they don't have to be inside your home. Any place where I have the legal right to be, I have the legal right to defend myself with deadly force, if necessary.

BTW .. home invasions, in my area, stopped the day one of them got shot.
