You can have the loser winning every four years and keep folks confident in the system. The red/blue thing has brought this to the fore. Look at how quickly uncleclueless and the lindy bill folks gave me the boot four years ago. UW went so far as to beg me to vote for kerry. And the left feels the same way in reverse. Look at the vitriol to an honorable man like Joe Lieberman because of his principled view on the war. So with red blue continuing, thats bad enough but to have presidents elected without a majority vote over and over is not acceptable. 50k votes in iowa would havae made kerry a far bigger minority prez than bush was in 2000.
