they pay no consumption tax? can you explain further by breaking out how the program works for lower income.

right now they pay zero tax, or 10% tax up $14,000 or 15% up to $56,000.

you tell me you will do better for these people under consumption tax?

People you describe pay no taxes.

The poor and the lower middle class pay no income taxes. Under "Fair Tax" they would be hit for a bundle, since they spend every dime they get. The rich, OTOH, who pay most of the income tax now, would pay only on consumption.

You will NEVER sell that to the country.
