"Germany has signed Kyoto and is shutting down its nukes - lol! Seems like the radical greens are the biggest barrier to solving the problem."

Cloudy Germany is well on it's way to being solar and wind powered by 2020. Due to government incentives, they may beat that date.

When we're burning $500 a barrel oil and expensive natural gas to make energy, the Germans will be getting theirs for free.

On the nuclear issue I'm in complete agreement with you. With regards to Germany....they are way ahead of most when it comes to actually setting and reaching goals where alternative (solar & wind) energies will be their predominant source. The only thing radical about this is our propensity to not follow their lead.
