While you folks were moving to socialist solutions, the US great society blew up and was replaced by a more progressive form of capitalism or managing greed. Europe initially led by EE is catching on to what works now as are chicoms, but you dudes will lag. Deep down you know the 30 hour week could never work and unions in their later phases do more harm than good. Having said that there is much to improve in the US system. Much of the criticism of the bush admin is right on as it strays from big tent republianism and doesnt feel they have to help the masses at all.
