At the rate we're decreasing plant life and increasing CO2 emissions, its trace proportions in the atmosphere are growing larger.

Is plant life decreasing? This is the kind of thing that is widely believed but not always so. For instance, can you tell me if the US was more heavily forested 100 years ago than it is today?

Besides, that's neither here nor there. If CO2 is not implicated in GW, then it makes no sense to try to reduce its levels in the atmosphere, as it's perfectly harmless.
