I thought your debate with Schiff was interesting but only you two can decide the winner but when I first read his article it made sense when I read it but now I feel more informed because of your reply to it, though how many can claim they can see the things you can see? Anyway thanks for a GREAT blog.

I'm not backing down one bit from my hatred of Walmart because there are many more factors involved than just the economic effect of their presence in communities. My biggest objection is what they have done to the USA in terms of spreading sameness and low quality wherever they go. I shop mostly in independent retail stores as they offer unique products that make shopping interesting while opening up a new world that Walmart could never open. Gee I don't know what's the matter with me, I just can't think of even ONE good thing about Walmart.

Mish, my internet service was out for 36-hours from Sun-Tuesday, so I'm still catching up on your thread.

I hope you had a great Christmas.

As far as the response, I agree it was harsh. I usually finesse that stuff a little more.
