That’s the common denominator for any number of seemingly disparate trends, including the explosion in Web advertising (where click-through can be closely tracked), the proliferation of targeted ad systems for cable, and the derision of Nielsen numbers. Companies that can compile and present accurate data are golden right now. That includes Rentrak and Everstream. It may even explain the revenue persistence of TiVo, which hasn’t sold that many units when you get right down to it. –BRS cedmagazine.com
