And, yes, in very recent years there have been a *few* places which have broken with the governmental orthodoxy and actually proceeded with some pioneering medical research in this area (some recent research - for example - turning up very interesting positive results in breast cancer... while others have shown medical activity with certain brain cancers, etc.).

Switzerland has done some recent studies... and Canada has done a few (but even there, both had to face-down major threats and intimidation tactics from US and from UN authorities).
