Oh drats....Dadgumrichcompanies anyhow....! Of course they wanted to lay off all those people.....

What....did you think these companies should continue to employee people if their salaries and all the benefits were too high to make the company profitable so the company could stay in business?

Do you think companies stay in business just for the sake of their employees?

Did you think the typewriter company should continue manufacturing typewriters when computers are here to stay?

What about the suppliers for typewriters? The ribbon manufacturers.....the correction tape and fluid like "whiteout"....the carbon paper manufacturers....

Are you saying those companies should stay in business because technology has overtaken them??

Do you have stock in those companies, or in companies who are no longer profitable? If not, why not?
