Exactly. There is no comparison between Japan and the United States, and no likelihood that the United States will replicate the "deflation" [N.B. the quotation marks] of Japan.

I have rebutted that nonsense a half dozen times.
anyone who think Japan did not have deflation is nuts.
But if so, we will not have deflation exactly the same way.
