You know that I don't even mind them having an elective on Creationism. I grew up in Catholic schools and we were required to take Religion courses. But they didn't try to push on us Religion as a replacement for science. They taught us scientific thinking and taught us that God gave us brains to use them to find out more about the Universe He created. For people to think that somehow all of this popped up 10,000 years ago when all the evidence points to the universe being billions of years old is simply ludicrous. Honestly, I think Creationism is simply a failure of imagination. God created a multi-verse infinitely more wild and wonderful than what the narrow thinking of the Creationists. The things we'll continue to find out with science will blow our minds...and in our lifetimes.
