Rarebird, I think the ability of the US consumer to obtain additional credit cards and tap their 401k has been underestimated. That's partially what's holding things together for the consumer, IMO. That's a temporary fix that will end badly as well.

There has actually been almost no money pumped into the system.
As for treasuries there is often a year end selloff that is perhaps over.
