I agree with you that the western world's policy is naive. All 3rd world nations need strong honest (or semi honest to be practical)dictators. Democracy has no chance before education and public institutions are strengthened considerably. On "annihilating that scum" I would suggest we are better off upgrading the education system. Set their minds free and maybe we have a chance. Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan et have little chance as long as we invest in bullets and not brains. JMHO. Globe
