Solar is going to bury new coal plants, and it is already starting.

Solar and wind will always be "supplimental" sources. They can never be "base" sources. You must always have enough Coal, gas, oil, hydro or nuclear to take care of all power needed 24/7/365.

So no use getting too excited about sunbeams and windmills.

Solar will get placed on house rooftops.

They don't allow this in most neighborhoods. Also many of us will not get enough energy this way. So it will help but not replace coal. There is also the low efficiency of solar heat. It may cause global warming.
