this particular election is front loaded and is very fluid. So if things happen like obama and romney come in third, it can be the death knell for their campaign. I have only been watching the top three for the most part in both elections and see opportunities here for edwards and mccain. McCain coming in second or even a strong third in iowa will give him some momentum in NH. I dont think edwards can win the nomination so any gains he makes works for hillary and against obama. Long shot dem in iowa is biden who may pick up some of that centrist/experienced but not hillary friendly vote. I am a big biden fan and if he could somehow get into double digits, he may play better as the only alternative to clinton at some point in the future.
