That is not heat transfer. Thermal calculations only tell you how much heat is generated, not how much is lost. Look up the Latin on Thermodynamics, its Heat and Power. Heat can be generated by many processes covered in other subjects such as electromagnetism, that doesn't make it part of the same subject.
