I must have misread that. In any case, we can do amazing things. We went to the moon. We invented the atomic bomb. If we focus our energies on a positive agenda and quit wasting energies on stupid enterprises such as Iraq, I believe we can do it.

There are multiple avenues of attacking the problem. First is to realize that the problem is population based and institute a Chinese solution worldwide. Perhaps an airborne virus-based contraceptive?

Second is to make everything we do as efficient as possible. No more Hummers, giant SUV's, and other ridiculous vehicles with one person in them to start. Make ALL lanes on the freeway HOV lanes, only available to green vehicles.

The third is to PROMOTE RENEWABLE ENERGY beyond all others. I'm not against nuclear as a stop gap and to fill the need when the sun isn't shining and the wind isn't blowing.
