Unfortunately, the above claim you make regarding the "greenhouse effect" as applied to the earth's atmosphere is completely incorrect, and illustrates very nicely why you don't understand anything about the subject.

Well if thats the case we can dump all of the CO2 we want because the sun doesn't warm it up.

"The major atmospheric constituents (nitrogen, N2 and oxygen, O2) are not greenhouse gases. This is because homonuclear diatomic molecules such as N2 and O2 neither absorb nor emit infrared radiation, as there is no net change in the dipole moment of these molecules when they vibrate."

The fact is that the earth is warmed by the difference in short and long wave radiation and convection of the atmostphere. If some gases are warmed directly by the sun, I see little reason it would make the earth significantly warmer. So yeah what I said was a little off, as is much of the global warming theory.
