It would be easy to cause climate change at a fraction of the cost and social disruption the politicians are sniveling about if that is what they really want to do. We have a space station and satellites for crying out loud. How hard would it be to roll out a small microfilm in outer space to block the sun rays from a part of the planet we want cooled or to use a broad ray filter to force clouds to drop their moisture in beneficial places. There are lots_o_ways to cool things off apart from fighting over the wealth of natural resources, which has nothing to do with the fact that we should also care for the environment. However, when you allow greed and politics to pull the ring in your nose, all is lost.

We are bound on this planet by purpose not by race, creed, or political funding. Conscientious people accept that and seek the well being of one in response to another with liberation from oppressive coercion. Persons who seek an escape from that responsibility are bound in despair and the misery of their selfishness, which drives them in their envy to lash out continually at those living up to the nobility of their birth; but, it will never get them out of anything.

Reason, on the other hand, is the only course that serves to liberate human consciousness from the grosser endeavors of human existence.
