Every lazy guy lives to believe that if he works hard someone else appropriated of the work he's done. There's no proof of that. It just what he likes to have in his mind to justify his lazyness. No one is going to come up front and dole out on everyone a reward. The result should be there before the reward is deserved. Therefore just a very few will show what he's able to do because he looks around and sees no competition. It so easy! Because the majority is lazy anyone doing a bit more he's noticed.
