Yep, derivatives meltdown is a rogue wave or an earthquake.
Conditions are ripe for one of these to hit, but you never know
when. There are a few tools, and short-term volatility is
one of them. As fluctuations increase, so does the probability
of a rogue wave. However, the big banks have the tools, so
they approach the Fed when they see one coming, and it never
does. This seems to be the situation.
