i saw sicko and it was a propaganda piece. having said that, the folks you listen to almost assuredly have an agenda, too.

it is funny seeing you complain about the agenda of others without highlighting the agenda of the people you listen to.

about 30% of the money paid to private healthcare go to something other than actually providing healthcare.

couple that with the government ALREADY paying about 50% of the tab and private insurance rates going up about 7-8% a year, not to mention the steady erosion in benefits, something will likely break soon.

i'm not convinced the solution will be a net benefit over the problem, but i think we will find out.

FF, that's the way I read what you said, but I'm saying that "research" sounds very suspiciously like an excuse made up by a hack. If someone were to say that we care more for premies than Japan or Switzerland, I might say, o.k. But more than 37 other highly civilized, sophisticated countries? Definitely an excuse for the numbers not going the way the researcher wanted them to go.
