What do you think about going long C -- and selling a straddle? One year out, the stock would have to come down over 8 points for this play to lose money. If it rallies instead, the two premiums will add up to a very nice return for the year - plus, the 7.4% dividend - provided, of course, that it survives... As things stand, the stock is near its 200 *month* MA, close to testing the lows of 2002.

If desired, a cheap OOM long put may protect the downside some.

What do you think about a long straddle on SPX (OEX?) - being that the index hasn't gone anywhere in a year, and may be fixin' to make a move?
