On the north shore of the Big Island there is a wind farm near Havii. The wind is so strong there it is difficult to stand up straight. The wind farm is located on a hill rising from the ocean. The Big Island is just that - really big. Therefore there is shore land that is available for the wind farm. What I did notice was that there were no big power lines leading from the wind farm. There was a medium sized bundle that I could see - but not the big stanchions you see leaving power plants.
