Thanks for post; I will recheck. That number was just an offhand one to suggest that EROI needs to be improved to be a functional oil recovery method, from what I had read. My understanding has been that EROI is not feasible for oil sands but I appreciate your input and will spend a bit more time checking.

Community of interests gravitating around the US will avoid total-cola as per TJ. The total-collapse a la TJ is difficult to envisage when there are, left and right, buyers of US assets. See U.A.E, China, Singapore and other Sovereign funds.

Total-cola? when all are eying those juicy pieces of the US? Not likely.

Not to mention the fat. The body has so much fat that can be burn as energy that make total-cola not likely.
