I wonder if you can buy one straight from the plant? No, I went to their plant and they won't sell you one. You have to go to a dealer. I had a problem with my Kershaw because it had a tiny little locking mechanism that blocks the assist but allows you to open. I thought it was defective and sent it back, but found out the lock was operating and it really wasn't defective. My knife is a little more delicate than that Bench Made model in the video. I wouldn't dig in the sand with it like that. Loved the dog. Wouldn't it be great to have a dog that would dig up knives instead of bones? My son has a Bench Made with a switchblade mechanism. It works about the same speed as my Kershaw but is illegal in my state. Amazing the stupid laws that they come up with to fix a non-problem.

They're pretty slick. I wonder if you can buy one straight from the plant? Don't imagine the local dealers would like that much. Not sure about civilians. Military and police may order direct from Benchmade including their switchblades. I believe the discount is 30% and no sales tax in Oregon where they are located. I carry their small switchblade and have given 2 as gifts. Met their Josh Harrell, Federal Govt Field Rep, at an equipment demo at the Ft Bragg O'Club a coupla months ago. Told me to call tel 502 655-6004 when I need a new knife.
