If Kennedy were not white he would have lost by a landslide. You keep ignoring race as if it doesn't exist. Ask Harold Ford or any smart black if it exists or doesn't matter. Only in sports and the arts have blacks shattered the racial ceilings. In politics, no black has ever won a national race, or even a senate race outside of Illinois and once in Massachusetts for one term. Think about that. Now all this is changing gradually, but this year is way too important to risk running a woman or a black. Still if either of them are nominated I will fight hard for them against the GOP. But I will only be confident of victory if Edwards is our choice. He or Biden. and Biden doesn't seem to have a chance.
