BS. Quit acting politically correct and thereb y being dishonest or blind. Race and gender are VERY-VERY important when it comes to picking a president. Perhaps the two most important factors. Otherwise Hillary or Obama would win by large margins. We are not talking about a senate race or even a governor's race, we are talking about the #1 job. The last time the Dems took a chance and used a woman as VP they got clobbered. Picking a Jew in Lieberman also backfired. Even a northeasterner makes it close, and this is from a Kerry supporter. So which Dems won outright in the last 25 years, two white male southerners. And that's it. Everyone else lost. And I count Gore as a winner BTW. He was robbed but hurt himself by picking Lieberman and not playing to the southern vote more.
