creepy feeling I get when some slick talker (ring a bell?) says something in a way that makes me crave to believe him, and I find out it's a bald-faced lie Yep, such individuals are not all that uncommon. Sociopaths, pathological liars. They look you in the eye, they level with you, they talk directly to your heart and mind -- and it is all bullshit and a cynical lie. They - it seems - tend to be more common in politics and in sales. In sales, they are more likely to get discovered, and they have to move on to another location or to a different line of business.
