Perhaps you weren't referring to me.

I was referring to anyone, denialists et al, who think this tripe is worthy of consideration.

Weather equipment is very high-maintenance. The standard temperature shelter is painted white. If the paint wears or discolors, the shelter absorbs more of the sun's heat and the thermometer inside will read artificially high. But keeping temperature stations well painted probably isn't the highest priority in a poor country.

That is jingoistic imperialism at it's best.

very high maintenance... you mean five minutes splashing with a paint brush and whitewash once a year ?

as opposed to what... Ross McKitrick's car???

We can all be so happy and sure that Exxon is going to give us the "real data", we should just believe the usa sources as they use the most oil and are therefore unbiased in the delicate matter whether burning fossil fuels can contribute to climate change or not.

If anyone is still of the opinion that humans cannot effect the climate have a good read of this...

en.wikipedia.org

In 1963, Brown et al. reported in the Journal of Geophysical Research that Starfish Prime had created a belt of MeV electrons, and Bill Hess reported in 1968 that some Starfish electrons remained for five years. Others reported that radioactive particles from Starfish Prime descended to earth seasonally and accumulated in terrestrial organisms such as fungi and lichens.

and that was just one little 'ol nuclear device. How many cubic miles of vaporized fossil fuels are emitted into the atmosphere every day... particles, aerosols, and gases?

Sure, I expect some Earth shattering event can emit a lot more, but can we already effect the climate?

The Earth dimming data is conclusive in my view.

Acid rain caused by emissions of UK power stations started killing fish in Norway and the Black Forest in Germany back in the 1970's, where have we gone since??

There is no human made climate change???

pull the other one, it has bells on it.
