Add to that questionable downgrade the ISM numbers and you get a sea of red on the first trading day of the year.

New money should be flowing in but the fear of a recession has it flowing out.

Even Cramer questioned the timing on the semiconductor downgrade.

lol, a nice gift if one has been wanting to buy some semis. I did some buying today in TER, LSI, and ASYT. Insider buying, share buybacks, healthy balance sheets, no exposure to subprime, benefiting from weak dollar, trading at near historic valuations...etc.
