Yes, I was lumping China in with the rest, when it was communist and to the extent that it still is, which is a lot. Nowhere has communism been a success, from small ohu communes in NZ to billion person systems like China's in Mao's maelstrom.

Which isn't to say that one person one vote to spend opm is a good idea either. It is not.

There needn't be any fights over resources. People can just bid at auction for those they want. That's a very simply method which has worked for thousands of years.

I don't mind if you call me names. It says a lot more about you than it does about me. So there's no need to retract saying I have a reptilian brain unable to plan, forecast, predict, think etc because I am labelled a right winger [which is a definition I don't understand - I am labeled both a left winger and right winger so the definitions are perhaps not very precise].

If you want to apologize for being rude, that would also say more about you than it does about me. So feel free to write what you like about me and call me names. Or retract. Or apologize or whatever you want to express about yourself.

Happy 2008, which is going well so far here. No doubt it will go bad at some stage, but for now it's excellent. The trepidation of waiting for the bad things is fun.
