Its not funny. He lied about his nationality and certainly his name as well. BTW the info that he was held at Gitmo, released, and returned to the fight doesn't come from our side - it comes from him. He's said so in interviews with Muslim journalists:

He lied about his nationality and convinced the Americans that he was actually an Afghan but, in fact, he was a Pakistani.
