traditionally it symbolized authority( the fasces )and the right to execute (the ax head)

This sounds more like us. I go with Mussolini's definition, which was a merging of corporate and state power. I think the racism was peculiar to German fascism.

Although I'm confident Americans will nip this in the bud in November, its scary to read statements like this after what we've experienced the last 7 years.
