dunno

the fact that the money paid back is worth more than the money lent out will be accounted for by interest rate, no different than now when one can borrows thai baht or swiss franc at very low interest rate due to expectation of eventual global purchasing power rise of same money

the fact that money is intrinsically valuable and more valuable would discipline the investment process and reduce waste

the fact that the world improved throughout history, much of it under a metal standard, says progress can and was made

the math is different, but life goes on, people be more sovereign, and govt less powerful, altogether not a bad mix

RJA, do not be misled by cb ilaine's false logic and similar falsehoods served up by the league of prime evil, for the condition you described, specifically

<<... just sit on your funds [edit: gold] and watch their purchasing power increase. There is no incentive to invest or take risk.

... No growth ==> no increase in living standards, ==> recession, depression>>

IS PRECISELY WHAT IS HAPPENING AND WILL CONTINUE UNTIL THE CLEANSING OF PRIME EVIL IS DONE.

The happening has naught to do with whether Gold is or is not the officially sanctioned money standard, because it is the money standard as ordained.

gold lease rate kitco.com is cheap in % terms, fully accounting for expected increase in purchasing power of gold, anticipating debt-enhanced depression, and ignoring any and all and unlimited abilities by the prime evil to print 'money'

USD value is thermometer of decoupling. 1) If people firmly believe in decoupling, USD value collapse.

2) people believe decoupling won't happen, USD doesn't collapse.

keep in mind: only decoupling can sink the USD.
