"The first step toward changing the status quo is becoming informed." When I was in first year Economics we had a side book along with Samuelson's textbook called something like "The Economics of..." Each chapter was on a different subject. Through the book it because increasingly apparent that one of the efficiencies that better educated and better connected people had was better access to information. The internet has reduced the advantage. Now the advantage goes to people who are more efficient at sifting through the information.
