The network will be based on Harris Stratex Networks' Eclipse(TM) microwave radio, which is optimized for data networks, with flexible, high- bandwidth capabilities and native Gigabit Ethernet interfaces. Eclipse is ideally suited to supporting WiMAX backhaul traffic by enabling operators to support high reliability Carrier Ethernet transport. It is the only radio platform to support intelligent Layer 2 Quality of Service controls and features, such as IEEE 802.3ad Link Aggregation and patent-pending Resilient Wireless Packet Ring (RWPRTM) technology.
