Don't go the the nearest airport? Oh shucks your solution is much more intuitive.

OT My anecdotal experience suggests that the only way to go to the emergency room is by ambulance. Even if you're two blocks away, call 911. Saves you wait time in the long run. Unless you're all bloody, that is. Then you can be carried in by a civilian. :/
