Amen, brotha. The next President will probably have a harder time than any prior U.S. president, due to the "live/spend today, let someone else clean up the future mess" attitude of this Administration.

GWB will go down as the worst president in U.S. history - bar none - when history looks back at the profligate and unnecessary governmental excess of his two terms.

<We can only debase the dollar, run huge deficits, cut fed funds, monetize the back end of the curve, fight unneccessary wars and cut federal taxes further for so long before the shit really hits the fan>

Don't look now -- something brown is coming our way. No matter what we do today we have to live with the consequences of past bungling and neglect -- decades of it. Change is needed, but there is no way in coming years to avoid paying for what has already been done. I am slowing realizing that the problem for most people who look at the markets is that they cannot in their heart of hearts face the truth about what has happened to the dollar nor what the future holds for the dollar. And no wonder they can't -- it is just so depressing to see what we thought was our store of wealth melting away day after day.
