I believe that the US stock market is in a longterm bear with short bull cycles enclosed within it. The US economy is probably already in recession with the ugly numbers just coming into view this month.

With American's inability to get off of oil, the Fed may do whatever it likes but we are in the global economy and outside of its control.

We could stand a period of belt tightening and fiscal responsibility (aka, not Republican or DLC in power).
