Bonobos, for example. Females will exchange sex for food and other favors. My wife and I had dinner with Frans de Waal once. Some of his stories make you doubt that there is all that much difference between Bonobos and humans...

And how about the female gorilla in the Chicago[?] zoo that saved and protected the little boy who had fallen into the gorilla enclosure? I am amazed every time I see the video. Studies of gorillas show them to manifest many human characteristics. Unfortunately, some believe there is less than a thousand left in the wild.

And then there are the dolphins that save humans who have been bitten by sharks. We know so little of these animals that we still kill every day.
