To: Dave Feldman who wrote (110382 ) 1/4/2008 3:10:11 AM From: Skeeter Bug Respond to of 132070 Dave, from what i understand, arthritis is an inflammatory condition. an anti-inflammatory diet ought to help. drsears.com "arthritis" search:drsears.com from the forums:zonediet.com changing diet is a difficult thing. having said that, if you keep doing the same things, you can expect similar results. if your diet is causing the arthritic problems, you won't be able to solve the problem until you change your diet. i don't know if this anti-inflammatory diet can significantly help your form of arthritis, but it is definitely worth a try. my life long allergy problems (allergies are an inflammatory condition) have vanished. i have gotten sick twice in the last six months, but there were some differences. 1. both times i got sick were during non zone focused times (thanksgiving and xmas). 2. my wife got sick a day or two before i did. prior to zoning, it was almost always me getting sick first and she may or may not have gotten sick. 3. my symptoms were about 1/4 - 1/3 of what they had been pre-zone. the first time i got sick, i didn't miss a day of work and i didn't feel too bad while at work. this latest round it didn't stop me from doing anything - even in cold miserable seattle weather. my wife was laid up for several days, as were both my parents. i knew i was sick and my body was stressed, but i didn't feel too bad and my symptoms were minimal. i haven't gotten sick during zone focused times, but neither has my wife. i will keep mental track of my health condition going forward and i might have to stop over eating that darn pumpkin pie and all those xmas treats to see if i get different results. i will also tweak my epa and dha supplementation to see if that helps prevent illness going forward. i do have to say that a crappy immune system seems to be a part of my genetic code so others can probably expect better results. some have reported not getting sick in years.
