Thats where the junk silver comes in handy. Yes, that was my thought back in 2001 so I have a bit. I have a few Maple Leafs... just enough to get mugged for LOL.

1 ounce silver coins seem like a good way to go in order to have some smaller denominations of a store of value.

If the banks freeze withdrawals, I do not expect coin dealers to be flush with cash, i.e. ready to trade their cash for coins.
